ABOUT THE LATE INDIA NICOLE WELCH 01/08/1991 – -8/09/2015

I.nnovative, N.obel and W.arm-Hearted can all describe the late St. Petersburg, FL native India Nicole Welch. She was and up and coming Inspirational Artist, Motivational Speaker and Author who was excited to release her first CD entitled “Goodbye Fear, Hello Victory!” The Movement on December 1st, 2014. This movement includes the announcement of her first Inspirational Book, Extended Play (EP), Movement T-shirt, Single Music Video and The Movement Documentary. Also, during this time, India birth the “Goodbye Fear, Hello Victory Unity Festival” as a way to being the Faith Based community, Educational Institutions, Health Awareness Providers and the Young, Talented and Gifted Youth together to empower one another on what’s here in our community.

India is the daughter of Prayer Tower COGIC’s Senior Pastor, Ricardo “Ricky” Welch & Darlene Butler-Welch. Raised in a spiritual family under the leadership of her late grandfather, Supt. Clarence Welch, India became rooted in her local church and community. Following the footsteps of her family members, India gained a love and passion for helping, inspiring, encouraging and supporting those in her inner city. From being a 2009 Senior Class President graduate of Gibbs Senior High School, Suncoast Hospice Volunteer to distributing toys and holiday trees with the YMCA Neighbor to Neighbor Christmas Program, to name a few of her services to giving back to the community. Serving with a purpose was her mission.

As a MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER: India’s desire was to INSPIRE, ENCOURAGE and SUPPORT. INSPIRE youth to dream big and reach their individual goals; ENCOURAGE the adults to stand firm and continue to set a steady foundation for generations behind them and to SUPPORT seniors emotionally, physically and mentally through community resources and services. She had the opportunity to speak for youth service organizations, local school Great American Teach-Ins and also taught workshops for summer internships programs in her local community.

As an AUTHOR: “Goodbye Fear, Hello Victory!” Inspirational Book is a testimony of India’s personal experiences and how she overcame her fears of depression, suicidal attempts, insecurities and more. She hopes that this book can inspire and encourage people all over the world, young and old to no longer allow our personal fears to hinder us from our goals and purpose in life. It’s the “Tell-All” reality of an overcomer!

As an ARTIST: Musically she was original and creative to say the least. With her anointed unique and jazzy vocals she allowed God to use her as a vessel to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. India had the opportunity to share the stage as lead and background vocalist for many local and national recording artists. Over the 23 years of this powerhouse’s life, her gift has made room for her and continued to open up doors for her until she departed this life on August 9, 2015 in a tragic car accident along with her beloved sisters La’Mour and Tehira Welch.

The Late Elder Clarence Welch

My Dedication:

This entire “Goodbye Fear, Hello Victory!” Movement is dedicated to a man who encouraged me, trained me, instilled wisdom in me, taught me how to love my family & community and showed me how to make a difference by doing and standing up for what’s right no matter what! December 1st is not just a release date for my movement… but it is also my Grandfather’s Birthday! December 1st, 1930 🙂 I am blessed to have known and sat under such a genius in his own right! I miss & love you!
